So you’ve booked the venue of your dreams, now what? Design! Part of the fun in Wedding planning comes when deciding what your Ceremony & Reception will look like. After all, the second meeting you have with your wedding planner here at Harmony Hall Estate is your Design Meeting! This is where all the ideas you’ve had for theme, color scheme, & decor, come together. It’s certainly a process that obviously isn’t finished in one meeting, but it’s the starting point.
You’ll spend a lot of time thinking about room functionality, color contrasts, where you want pops of color & different centerpieces, and ceremony to reception design flow. In fact, there are so many moving parts to design, you’ll probably spend most of your time working on it! We all know what it’s like to have an idea in your head, that translated to your Pinterest board, and now looks totally feasible, but you get to the pieces in real life and it’s nothing that you thought it would be, and even more isn’t even what you wanted it to be! That’s okay, because ultimately what worked for one couple may not be 100% for you. You have to make it your own.
Our Wedding Planners work as close or as far as our couples request, we’re always on hand to suggest what may work if something you thought was completely functional is no longer an option. We love that our couples find inspiration everywhere and try to pull that all together to create a memorable experience for their guests. One of the best inspirations we can provide is actually our property! Between the Stone Houses and the Wood’s ceremony sites ,we service both the Rustic theme & the Outdoor’s theme, so pulling that into the Ballroom for the Reception can be a great asset in direction.
Tips for Couples:
Theme- we see a lot of specific and general themes. Movies, beach, Disney, Medieval, Rustic, Old Hollywood, etc.. Theme’s can be a great place to create your design scheme because you already know where it’s heading., you just have to get the pieces.
Color Scheme- hues & tones play a huge role in your color scheme. Being specific about the tone of the blue, green, pink, red etc. you’re looking for can help when you’re putting the table settings together and then lead to your centerpieces. We have basic linen colors in stock, but have an abundance of Color Hues to choose from when renting. Always ask to see the swatches to make sure the color you have in mind is indeed the color you can get
Decor- decor encompasses all of the pieces! Centerpieces, pillars, arbors, head table settings, place cards, cake table stands & cutters, programs for the ceremony, signs for the ceremony, floral arrangements, aisle runners, etc.. One problem you can run into with Decor is ultimately practicality. The large mason jars work for the ceremony site, & outside of the reception hall but do they work as centerpieces? Probably not, your guests can’t see each other to socialize! Remember you want the room to be beautiful but functional.
"I just want to say how wonderful it was to have my wedding and reception at Harmony Hall. Karen, Jill and Lexi were all so great! They made planning so easy and stress free. The day was beautiful and everything I dreamed of. Thank you ladies so much!"
