What beautiful weather!! Katie and Erminio lucked out with some gorgeous weather for the first outside ceremony at HHE in 2018. They had a very unique and modern style which turned out to be elegant and beautiful. They chose to use the foundation as their ceremony location which fit into the theme of the wedding perfectly. Be sure to check out Katie’s bouquet. It was a broach bouquet that a friend did for Katie. It was absolutely beautiful. Not only did Katie have a unique bouquet but her bridesmaids also walked down the aisle with lanterns that held faux flowers and twinkle lights. I absolutely loved them and you will as well!
Moving into the ballroom, Katie did her own centerpieces. She used the modern geometric vases that held a succulent in them. Those were then set on a slab of wood and moss was added around the vases to add a little more to the centerpiece. Katie and Erminio were very adamant about not taking any of their centerpieces home so they came up with a great idea to ensure that was the case. They tied a ribbon around one chair at every table and the DJ made an announcement for the guests to check their chair and whoever had the ribbon got to take the centerpiece home. It worked out perfectly! Their menu was a 3 entree choice for their guests. The options were a chicken with a white wine mushroom sauce, beef medallions with compound butter and a teriyaki glazed bacon wrapped pork loin. The food got rave reviews as always and kicked off the party. Katie and Erminio skipped the cake cutting but did the traditional Pittsburgh cookie table and provided guests with bags so that guests were able to take cookies home as well.
I can’t be more happy for Katie and Erminio. Their energy and interactions with each other was one of a kind. We wish them nothing but the best!!
