August 19th was a beautiful day for a wedding. The ceremony took place at Harmony Hall Estate in front of the woods. The couple chose to have Plenty of Petals as their florist. Plenty of Petals decorated a white arbor and had it as the focus for their ceremony with the woods as a backdrop. Gretchen and Mike had their ceremony at 3 p.m. and afterwards enjoyed cocktail hour and a reception that went until 8:30 p.m. This couple was simply the sweetest and all their guests had nothing but amazing things to say about the couple. It was such a privelege working with them. They decorated the ballroom with Karen’s grey linen and centerpieces. They mixed it up a little and provided river rocks to be put in the square vase and they had a floating lilly from Plenty of Petals. They had votives around the vase to give the centerpiece something a little extra.
Gretchen and Mike had their ceremony facing the woods and afterwards guests entered the ballroom for the rest of their reception. Guests enjoyed a seated meal of Italiano Chicken, Tender Beef Medallions in a red wine demi glaze, or parmesan encrusted tilapia. For our couples who choose to do a seated meal, Karen’s Catering does a Russian style of service. Our servers greet the tables and proceed to check off where the guests are seated and what meal they ordered. Come dinner time, our chef lays out the plates accordingly and our servers will all pick up two plates and they will encompass the table and lay all the plates at that table down at the same time.
We wish another wonder Harmony Hall Estate couple a big congratulations and many years of happiness.
