We made it outside! Erica and Daniel broke the days of wedding rain and were able to have their ceremony outside in the woods. This was our first ceremony actually in the woods and it turned out to be absolutely beautiful. I can’t wait to see the photos from Hazel Lining Photography! The overall theme was woodsy with centerpieces that had a wood slab with a birds nest, and mason jars with floating candles. The table numbers were small baskets filled with mints and a tag with the table number tied on. Erica and Daniel had the ballroom set up with a sweetheart table and used a tall cafe table for their small cake. Towards the back of the room there was a cookie table and a candy table. These tables were a hit following dinner. The candy table had a lace topper with twinkle lights underneath and was full of a variety of candies such as skittles, peach rings, Swedish fish, sour patch kids, peanut m&ms, regular m&ms, Hershey kisses, pixie stix and so much more. Opposite the candy table was the cookie table. Guests from the wedding brought in trayed cookies and the couple asked to have Harmony Hall provide milk to add to the cookie table.
My favorite aspect of Erica and Daniel’s wedding was the outside ceremony. Erica brought in a burlap runner as well as rugs that made for an aisle. She walked in barefoot and it fit in perfectly with the theme of her wedding. This couple was simply the sweetest and was so excited to be having their ceremony in woods. We hope that they have started something wonderful at HHE and that we have many ceremonies to come in the woods. A fall wedding at sunset with some lighting in the trees could be the perfect set up for our next woods ceremony 😉
