Emily and Doug kicked off their wedding day with their ceremony in front of the farmhouse. It was perfect weather for their outside ceremony. For a farmhouse ceremony we set the guest chairs facing the house and the couple decides to stand on the porch or in front of the porch. The entrance will also vary depending on the couple. Emily and Doug walked out from the side of the farmhouse but some couples like to do a “grand entrance” and enter from the front door of the house. The ceremony was a hit but the reception decorations were even better.
The theme the couple was going for was similar to steampunk with a little bit of travel. It turned out exactly as the couple envisioned. They used a combination of centerpieces for their guest tables. Some were Eiffel Towers with votives, others were lanterns with some fairy lights and ivy inside, and my personal favorite was copper pipe centerpieces made by the groom. Their guest book was another awesome idea for couples who love to travel. They placed an atlas out for their guests to sign their favorite place to travel. The couple can then go through the atlas and hopefully travel to many of their guests favorite places to be. They even had the world map printed on their cake. Be sure to take a look at some of the photos! The groom would be happy to sell the centerpieces he made! 😀
