The rainy days definitely came at the beginning of the year and we have had nothing but perfect weather for our fall weddings. There was no exception for Erik and Andrea on August 26th. They chose to have a ceremony at the pond. The set up for a ceremony at the pond is to have the ceremony chairs going around the pond and the bride and groom to stand at the platform at the back of the pond and the bridal party stands to either side of the platform. It is definitely one of the most popular spots at HHE. Inside the reception hall the couple chose do a cream linen with a rental sage green napkin. The centerpieces were wooden boxes with jars of purple wildflowers inside and coozies for the favor at every guest seat.
Some of my favorite ideas from this wedding were to do a plant potting ceremony. I love this idea. Instead of doing a sand ceremony or knot tying ceremony the couple chose to have a potted plant and both pour soul into the pot and have it grow through their lives. I also enjoyed how the couple decided to have their start time be 3:01 p.m. and end at 9:01 p.m. just to be a little different and not be right on schedule. 🙂
